Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa
The Kamalaya Hotel, located on the sunny island of Koh Samui, has received many international awards as the best wellness, detox and spa center not only in Asia, but throughout the world. The huge and beautiful territory of the hotel, immersed in the greenery of tropical vegetation, is located in the south of the island.
Kamalaya, translated from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit, means “Peace or the Kingdom of the Lotus” (Kamal-lotus, Realm-kingdom) and symbolizes the “blooming” of the human spirit.
Story
Kamalaya was conceived and brought to life by John and Karina Stewart. John visited Koh Samui in 2000, where he was fascinated by the extraordinary energy of the amazing coastal jungle. He was especially captivated by the beauty of the cave, which was once used by Buddhist monks as a place for meditation and retreat. And thanks to this latest discovery, he realized that he had found the perfect place for his dream – Kamalaya.
Since its opening in November 2005, Kamalaya has been offering more and more holistic wellness programs that combine the healing practices of East and West in the bosom of stunning natural beauty. By bringing together different traditions and cultures in a loving, healing environment, hotel guests will be able to discover and properly use their life potential.
Wellness menu
Over 70 treatments offered by The Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa combine ancient and modern holistic approaches in medicine with healing traditions of different peoples in an amazing way. Guests can choose an individual wellness program, as well as additional “a la carte” treatments.
